Perfect festival. It's surprising it turned out that well considering it was the first edition. But well, it was Annick's doing right? Can't wait to hear about the bands playing next year, gonna be there for sure even if I might be broke as fuck by then.

Best show: Manilla Road (Satan were pretty damn close but I still remain a MR die-hard and they even got to play two songs off Metal)

Best surprise: Magic Circle. Wow, never heard them before and they were incredible. Sweet trad doom with Pagan Altar-y touches here and there. Pretty damn nice speed-ups they had.

Best ''already saw them but I could still see them a million times'': Midnight. Holy shit it ripped. Saw them at MDF but in a small bar like the Katacombes really gave some additional magic. Shame I had to miss their second set for the after-show since my lift had to leave early.

Speaking of Midnight doing the after-show, how was it? Different set-list, anything special?

A buddy who stayed for the Sunday gig said they had some technical issues during the set. Not sure on the setlist itself.

INCREDIBLE fest. Finally seeing Megiddo and Manilla Road live just defies description. Satan, Magic Circle, and Midnight were my other highlights, but fuck me every band ripped.

Glad to hear plans are in the works for WoM2.

Would have been nice to see Midnight. Also, I see the guys from Cromlech / IO sitting at one of those tables

second midnight set mightve been a bit longer and certainly more chaotic with some drum issues and so on.i do remember a snare drum and stick just thrown on the stage at some point. its difficult to remember as i was pretty wasted by then! the "dj" part after the show was among the most fun i may have ever had at a show. Only diehards around being very drunk Twisted Evil

Megiddo really did level the place though. The structural stability of the venue was compromised

Seeing Satan was one of the greatest heavy metal moments I have ever been a part of. Magic Circle and Meggido were awesome, Voor was also very cool. Wish I remembered the first day more, way to drunk.....Manilla road was great though! So was Cauchemar! Piledriver gave one hell a amamzing performance as well.

Piledriver,
CAUCHEMAR and Meggido alone would be have been worth the trip!
