I love the Donnas too.

I saw them when they were touring for Get Skintight, fucking great band. I really like a few of their later records, especially Spend The Night Cool

HOLD ON JUST ONE COTTON-PICKIN' MINUTE THERE, MISTER.

Did you just call Dire Straits gay? Knopfler's the epitome of Western manhood.

That's what my friends keep telling me. And they listen to Boston.

You need to listen to the s/t debut LP. It's different to the circus rock of brothers in arms etc.

Brothers In Arms rocks too, though. I mean, the title track alone. Funeral-worthy brilliance.

Literally. But it's still an awesome album.

Yeah, first three albums when they were simply ripping off Motley Crue / The Ramones were great. I ended up seeing them play three shows in four days after the second album came out. Annoyed the iron-on shirt transfer I got fucked up when attempted to apply..........

Yet it is better than many bands that get swooned on the NWN board.

HA!

This is their Dawn Of The Black Hearts

they were ready for the 80s, but the 80s didn't want them, sadly.

^^ You're in luck. I "think" these guys are touring with the pet shop boys in 2013! Laughing

*edit* actually that may have been my brain injecting false information on its own. I can't find the evidence to support this claim, though Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, etc are all definitely touring in 2013. I can thank first wave radio for that info anyhow
