About to hit the road for a month and am going to be spending a lot of time on planes and trains with limited space on my iphone/ipad for music. Trying to decide what to commit to and still have some space left. What are some albums that are almost always on your iphone/ipad/ipod/whatever?

You tell me what you personally always listen to, I will copy and paste that back in response, and then you will know what to take.

For road : good old Heavy Metal/Hard rock, the classics or some basic albums not cult but enjoyable like, I don't Know, Noisehunter (Time to Fight), it always make the trip more enjoyable.

Edit : Oups I forgot, some of them I always have of my phone just in case

Metal Church - Metal Church
Cirith Ungol - Frost And Fire
Accept - Russian Roulet
Motorhead - whatever you want
Noisehunter - Time to Fight

For Plane or Train I prefer to listen some Thrash/Death/Black, don't know why though. And it always change...

I always like to have a good mix of classic favorites, albums I"ve been listening to a lot recently and albums I've been meaning to check out.

As far as specific albums it's obviously going to vary depending on who you ask. Outside of that this thread is basically asking "what music do you like to listen to a lot?" In which case the answer is Judas Priest and Black Sabbath

That's surprisingly close to mine as well (give or take a few). Add some:

Iron Maiden -- (first five albums)
Mgla -- With Hearts Toward None
Zuul -- both albums
Beastmilk -- Climax
The Smiths -- The Queen is Dead + various others
Magma -- Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh
Dead Can Dance -- (rotating cast of all of their albums)
Afghan Whigs -- 1965
Fleetwood Mac -- s/t - Tusk
Prince Paul and Dan the Automater -- Prince Among Thieves
Sun Ra -- Space is the Place

This list is mostly for passive travel (planes and trains). If it's a road trip, swap in a shitload of hard rock, NWOBHM, and Bruce Springsteen. Anything you can sing along to? Yeah, that's what you need for a road trip.
