Already know Abigor, Aborym, Blacklodge, Diapsiquir and Mysticum. Any other good bands working within this field of music?

but "industrial" black metal has pretty much become it's own thing - and i think whatever fault there is in the term is more on the bands/artists who have been proclaiming themselves as such than ppl on a messageboard trying to make sense of it all. basically any bm with electronic percussive elements seems to qualify, be it drum machines and rhythmic noise like Mysticum, Blacklodge, and the bands/projects that have followed their example or terrorcore/speedcore 909 beats like Iperyt. not enough of it out there i don't think to start categorizing electronically-augmented bm based on specific style, other than i think the ppl doing bm with noise and power electronics who seem to make a point to differentiate themselves from what's currently commonly known as industrial bm, whether deliberate or not.

just my unsolicited, unqualified, and unnecessary opinion(s).

Industrial and metal blend together very rarely well. Industrial and black metal is even more easily one of the worst combinations possible. Like Candlemass said, as most of the bands/artists have no idea about industrial music. For most it's just about drum machines and audio samples.

For example Ministry and album Psalm 69 is better than most of the pointless bands who try to do the same.

fair enough, but then other than an obviously higher production budget, why is that? is it because of Jourgensen's background and what Ministry evolved from, and who was involved at various times (like Nivek Ogre) giving it that credibility, or just better execution - more use of drills and sirens? because a) non-metal or even anti-metal fans of early Ministry generally hate the metal material and b) if we're using Psalm 69 as a standard i think quite a few of the bands/projects have come close enough to doing bm takes on what Jourgensen did then, at least on record - Neo Inferno 262, Alien Deviant Circus, oOo/Helel, of course Blacklodge - even a certain italian band i won't name.

so i guess for the most part i still don't fully understand the complaint(s), other than when it's directed at corny cyber bm acts, or like that long-awaited Mysticum album where it sounds like all they did was use programmed drums that more or less emulated a real kit and thought that was enough to qualify.

Definetely this!!

Also i think EVERY & EACH Release from the Band MINISTRY from Year 1988´In the Land of Rape & Honey´Album until & including "2003 Album `Animositisomina´, last Album with Paul Barker, is the best Industrial Metal ever produced, inlcuding all Singles, Live Boots etc pp between 1988-2003.

For Interest is the official Ministry Documentary, even for longtime Fanatics: ´Fix The Ministry Movie´

Just listen to BAN and P.H.O.B.O.S and N.K.V.D and Red Harvest. They all have, on some releases anyway, the cold, mechanical kinda feel. If that's not what someone asking for 'industrial black metal' wants then fuck them.

I dunno why people would want 'industrial black metal' that conforms too much to 'industrial' music because, as much as I like industrial, that kinda take on it usually sounds gay as fuck.

I have no clue about so called Industrial Black Metal, but the AD HOMINEM - Theory:0 EP is for me very close to the Idea with its Overall Vibe including Artwork & Music.
Maybe the Ad Hominem ‎– Slaves Of God To The Gallows (The Preemptive Strike 0.1 Reworks) EP should be mentioned, as it has a heavy Industrial/EBM Vibe, too. \m/

Also Ad Hominem had a very good Answer regarding Drum Machines in an old Interview:

Question 3. : A news that i have already heard of.You say you will not use live drummer anymore, like old albums.Let me say it,the drum-programming in Planet Z. was not that good but the one in New World.. was one of the best programmin i have ever heard of.The live (living, that is) drummer in “Climax Of the Hatred” was delivering the goods too.How came this decision sir?
Answer AH:
New world was recorded with a drummer, the fuck!!! And on Planet Z, you didn’t like the machines as you were expecting it to sound like a drummer. They must be seen as Machines, not Humans…
