I was a bit disapointed by the Stronghold artwork, the picture looks a bit blurry.
Dol Guldur is my favorite, flawless masterpiece. Stronghold is a close second. |

Price surely is steep but I guess the band does want substancial royalties as well. |
You are right mister, I just told it would be better if TOD release these ones as well because they did a very great job on Oath Bound, Nightshade and the box. And I'm not a fan of pic discs, but the TOD versions are superior in every aspect mainly compared to the Napalm versions. |

Oh it was delayed. I thought it was going to be released the first day of this month and was wondering why my copy hasn't arrived yet. |
They shipped mine yesterday so it ought to be available by now... |
IIRC it was due out March 2013.
Mine got shipped aswell anyway. |

My copy was shipped today. I would expect it to arrive next week. |

| It's a toss up between Stronghold and Dol Guldur. I think I slightly prefer Stronghold. |

This is what I meant. I don't think it's crazy to expect the label that released an album on cd originally to do a good job on the vinyl version. _________________

Thanks for the info! Ordered.
I can agree with the blurry cover thing. Disappointing. |

Meh, nobody will buy at this price... I hope so...
BTW, listened today for the first time my LMHSYF copy (yellow version), I have to say there are some serious surface noise... not the greatest vinyl quality here... Listened to RIITIIR right before, it sounded better than the Napalm Record production.
Anybody had the same "trouble" with this LP ? |

Mine sounds fine.
I just pre-ordered Minas Morgul, which is something I never usually do. But after all the hassle I had to go through to get copies of the last 2 it seemed necessary.
anyone after LMHSYF and stronghold, try emailing temple of darkness records. He said he had a couple left when I ordered a few weeks ago, might be worth a shot. _________________ "14 words: we must secure the depravation of the children and ruin the whole fucking world..." |

Recently I sent a mail to Napalm concerning the general complaints about the vinyl re-releases.
The answer in short:
- they didn't want to press 1000 or more from each to keep it in their shelves forever (proven wrong already)
- 500 isn't an extreme limitation, cause many underground bands/labels often do 150 copies or less (since when is Summoning a small underground band?)
- still, they admit this limitation is a good thing to hype these releases and the band
- they took a lot of care about the cover artworks on the bigger format, the result is the best they could offer
- no answer concerning the problems of distribution for overseas customers
- no answer concerning the high price for a standard gatefold without booklet, printed inner sleeves, lyric sheet etc.
Fuck Napalm, wish Temple of Darkness or any other label that knows how to treat vinyl would take care of Old Mornings Dawn, but I doubt it. |

Seems the Minas Morgul LP with the poster is sold out from Napalm Records. That was fast...
I can imagine that Napalm Records will do a vinyl rerelease again next year when the demand is still high for those releases. |
