| I voted for Vampires, definitly one of the best black metal records i know. But there is no Mütiilation album i don't like to listen to, the second one is amazing though. I have no words to say how ugly and inhuman this album is. |

| I agree, that first EP is best material among Vampires (orig vinyl mix), so voted for that. Majestas Leprosus close second, mostly due nostalgic values and DYLFS. Remains is probably my least favorite, usually raw production in general gets me but dunno why this hasn't. |

The later albums are frustrating. One one hand, Meynach can write a unique and twisted riff like noone else and even Rattenkonig, etc. are full of them. On the other hand, after "Remains" era he started to have trouble building good songs with them. So it's like each album became a collection of killer riffs that don't really create a solid whole. _________________

I love playing Doom (PSX) to Black Millenium (Grimly Reborn) Just seems to work so damn well |
You play the Doom PSX remake mute? It includes one of the best game OSTs ever made! |
Indeed! Shame on you. The ambient songs in Doom PsX is what makes that version of the game the best. |
No no sorry. I adore and love Aubrey Hodges work with that game, some of my all time fave Dark Ambient. As I dont own a Playstation anymore I can only get crack versions online without the soundtrack so I tend to stick Mutiilation or Levithan's - Tentacles Of Whorror on repeat. |

| Remains is one of the harshest records I've ever heard. Though Vampires is excellent as well. Anything after that is boring to my ears. |

I was really into Vampires back in the day, but now I much prefer the three albums he did with synthetic drums. The real drums on Sorrow Galaxy didn't do it for me either. Felt like something was lost. _________________ http://www.dissectionforum.dk/ |

| I lost interest quite a bit once the "Ordealis albums" came out. Something seemed fucked up there. Really dumb, digital production, songs weren't as up to pay, shitty layouts, etc. |

I'm pretty sure Sorrow Galaxies and the first EP are the only ones that have none whatsoever (Remains and Vampires have tracks with regular drums and some with a machine). _________________

No drum machine on Remains, unless you're counting the two bonus tracks at the end from the 1996 session. |
