+1. Sometimes the updates are annoying though, especially if you haven't used it for a long time.

Yeah they shut down strappados account from the rare and obscure metal blog, but they now have their own server they've been storing files on! It all started with some lame fucking band no one's heard of that made one complaint to mediafire regarding a fucking out of print demo... and boom! Aaaaaall that great rare and obscure metal gone in an instant. Check out strappados rare & obscure metal blog though... still some broken links but it's coming back! _________________ "We must secure the extinction of the human race and apocalyptic future for all children" - 14 words. |

| If you go past page 1 of a google search, you'll almost always find what you are looking for. No need to list or talk about them here. |

Not only that, but I noticed within the past week that they are pushing iTunes links on the removed files. |

I just returned to Soulseek after a few years of absence, and it is actually a LOT better than I remember as far as finding weird shit.
I still like good blogs though. I have found a lot of stuff on them that was totally new to me and I wouldn't have looked for on my own. |

blogs are good because i can find awesome shit that i didn't know was out there but basically if i have something in particular i want (read: something i have already bought) straight to soulseek
sometimes its a bit slower but its more reliable and just much better |

I used to use DC++ back in the day. I could never figure out how to use Soulseek. As for Blogspot sites, you should check out RAF666. They have some great obscure shit on there.

slsk is way easier to use than DC++
@ Timon: Open slsk, go to option, file sharing config, then u choose where to save the music u dowload and the music u want to share.
To find stuff just use the search button : type what u r looking for.
When u download something from someone, i recommend to add the user to your userlist ( everything right click)
U can also view an user's music by browsing his files, right click again .
On the transfers page, set the MAX D/L KPBS at 0 for a faster download.
I hope i was clear enough, tbh very easy to use.
ps: to download right click again download file or folder. |

There's also Modern Sound of Death, which is run by the same people behind RAF666. They share more modern stuff.
