I thought Satanic Royalty was a bit too polished, overall decent though.
Certainly a good band.

I will agree with this. while I have never been the biggest fan of this band, they are still okay. Satanic Royalty just seemed a little too generic for me perhaps? that or the gimmick is just wearing out for me. something about it... maybe the extreme over hyping of the band coming to a peak has something to do with it as well. the older stuff I dabbled with was way more exciting though IMO
I still don't see how folks wouldn't just want to hear Venom on repeat instead, or in my case maybe something like Bulldozer, etc

I enjoy Midnight quite a bit, but as far as the "black rock 'n' roll" thing is concerned I'll put on Chapel over Midnight almost every time.
