Aka records in which ALL songs clearly stand out and could have been released as singles. I can't think of more than 15-20 at best:
IRON MAIDEN s/t
METALLICA Kill 'em all + Ride the lightning
SLAYER Show no mercy + Hell awaits + Reign in blood
MAYHEM De mysteriis dom Sathanas
DEICIDE s/t
MORBID ANGEL Blessed are the sick + Altars of madness
SATYRICON The shadowthrone
SARCOFAGO Inri
MASTER'S HAMMER Ritual
DEATH SS Black mass
MERCYFUL FATE mlp + Melissa + Don't break the oath
close contenders:
DARK ANGEL Darkness descends (not too fond of two songs on this one)
IRON MAIDEN The number of the beast (would have been flawless if 'Total eclipse' replaced the horrible 'Gangland' as meant in the band's intentions) + Killers
METALLICA Master of puppets
KREATOR Endless pain + Pleasure to kill
VENOM Welcome to hell
SORHIN Apokalypsen angel
DEICIDE Once upon the cross (last 2 songs suck pretty bad unfortunately) + Legion
WATAIN Rabid deaths curse (side B is sub-par)
I probably missed a couple, feel free to complete the lists. |

I thought the first Deicide was the best. _________________ Only Lemmy is Real. |

I wouldn't agree with this. Although the songs themselves are fucking amazing, there is one major flaw with this album- the production. It sounds quite sterile in my opinion and is no where near as good as the production for the early Profanatica material in regards to helping to create that evil atmosphere. |

I can understand 100% what you are saying, but in my personal opinion, Dethrone the Son of God is one of the best "albums" I have ever heard in my life... personally, I love the produtction!
I would also like to add ANCIENT - Svartalvheim to my list. _________________ WANT LIST : http://www.metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=772766
