We all know about Graveland, Veles, Infernum, Capricornus etc., but what about the lesser known bands? Let's collect opinions here.

MYSTERIES: Fucking insane! Raw Old-School Black Metal with maybe some of the most frantic vocal performances I heard so far. Very recommended.

FULLMOON: Atmospheric Black Metal that reminds me of Graveland's "Thousand Swords" but also has an unique quality and great melodies. Highly recommended.

DARKSTORM: Mhm. Strange stuff, a mix of barbarism and a bit too much gothic keyboards. Not very interesting.

KOHORT: Meh. Very ordinary Black Metal with annoying vocals and boring songs.

PAGAN TEMPLE: I only heard two songs so far and they suffer a weak production. Difficult to judge, it's ok but nothing outstanding.

Mysteries and Fullmoon were excellent. Were Werewolf part of TOF as well or did they jusy nick the title for their first album?

I'll chime in with my usual response to these: GALGENBERG demo and EP rule. Heavier deathly/thrashing approach.

From what I read, the TOF-party ended abruptly in 1996 due to police investigation, so I guess the album title was more a tribute.

COMBAT - Northwind demo

Very short but the songs are just killer. Hysterical crazy vocals also..
Would love to see this on CD/vinyl.. Anyone in touch with anyone close to ex-bandmembers maybe?

Well, I guess it's the same with all "Black Metal circles" more or less, but this one actually created great music in some cases. Wink

On a side note: I don't like newer Graveland and I don't care about the political agenda, but this man is consequent in doing his thing. The artworks are shit and he always makes the same music, but at least he is not talking that much crap like others and focusses on constantly releasing albums. Besides this, he has created some of the most intense keyboard parts in his early days.

I remember many years ago Akenathon from Judas Iscariot was running a Tribute to Polish Black Metal webiste with all the TTF bands and people. It was quite cool.
