Looking for bands in the vein of Possessed, Pentagram (Chile), Messiah, Merciless, Insanity, Savage Death, Chronic Decay, Slaughter and the likes.

Cheers.

Wink

Speaking of Chronic Decay, Dark Descent should do an overdue comp of their material this year. I can't wait for it, that band is awesome.

I assume you've heard Nekromantheon? Of active bands they are somewhat in this vein, and very good.

Tribulation don't do much for me.
As for Chronic Decay, I absolutely love their EP. The album is good too, but I feel like it's missing something, but cant put my finger on it.

I haven't listened to much Nekromantheon, I'll give them a shot. Thanks

Although I wouldn't classify them as "primitive" and you probably already know them, PROTECTOR fits this list perfectly.

UNHOLY LUST from California whose debut full-lenght managed to create the 'cruel' vibe of POSSESSED first album to me... Killer band!
