Morrigan/Mayhemic Truth is probably the best Bathory (Viking-era) worship, together with Iuvenes, Falkenbach and Hades. |
Absolutely agree. Really into the Morrigan stuff, especially Celts and Headcult. Out of all the good Viking Bathory inspired bands out there, they're by far the best IMO. Theyä're working on a new record so hoping they will deliver another good one. If I can't have Bathory, Morrigan is a good sub. _________________

I like Viking Era Bathory to some extent but no way in fucking hell is it better than early Bathory. _________________

They also supposedly recorded an album before their short disbanded, that hasn't been released. |

| I'll admit it's hard to beat first 3 Bathory releases. Hell, Under the Sign... maybe the most important black metal album ever released. |

I think The Return is his pinnacle Black Metal record. UtSotBM is of course great too, but the suffocating darkness on The Return plus that perfect cover just make it unbeatable IMO. _________________
