| I misinterpreted the thread title, was hoping for death metal bands that sound like Christian Death. Only Theatre of Pain era only! Does this exist? |

Why not just ask for decent death/doom bands instead of christian "death metal" (ROFL)? it's not like christian bands have a unique sound that is known worldwide as a distinct genre of its own or some shit.

Haha actually I saw Mortification cd at record store and wanted to buy it, now that I know they're christian I guess I won't
Not that I assume they make bad music because of their religion, I'd just prefer not to listen to christian bands |

I thought this band was awful ever before I knew they were christians. One of, if not the worst songs on Death is Just the beginning 2. |

Saw Mortification and a few other bands play in a school hall in the mid-90's. Seemed to be more churchie-norms than metalheads amongst the 30-odd people who turned up.
Recall the singer of one of the support bands giving a speech about how 'we didn't come from apes'. |

| It is impossible for a death metal band to be good and be Christian. Next question? |

| Some few years ago I heard from a canadian band called SYMPATHY. They played some brutal-technical death metal (their music was not bad if you ask me) |

I have Exhumed of the Earth on tape and I like it pretty well, didn't realize it was a Christian band when I purchased it haha _________________
