I stand corrected- very cool that they did it on a shirt too! I never saw the shirt version, as I said- I got the back patch when it came out and immediately sewed it on the back of my jean jacket! It's a great design for sure. I don't think it was 'official' merch though, probably just a boot.
There was a lot of this kind of stuff kicking around at the time. I also had a Venom tapestry/flag, but it wasn't this design, it was the photo of them on the 'mountain of trash' where they're holding up skulls and swords? I think I traded that one away to the drummer of Buzzov-en like 20 years ago.

This one was stolen from venomcollector's site and he has it listed under originals. I think he got his shit straight as he's in contact with the band too. If you look on his site he's got more examples of Venom shirts that I had never seen before. |

in the 80's that venom shirt was very easy to find in merch stores. unfortunately I've never purchased one

Yeah i saw some old footage in the early 90's of Quorthon doing a signing somewhere in the states, and you can see the Venom shirt on a rack behind him.
Also that band Midnight ripped off the design and used it on their own patch... fucking lame lol |

| Yeah, there's definitely a difference between a ripoff and a tribute. Considering it's Venom and Midnight, it shouldn't be hard to figure that out. Or at least you wouldn't think it'd be. |

yes there were, and they were official as far as I know..
the patches were multicolored screen printed with embroidered border and the corners were rounded off.
i had one that was given to me in the early 90s by a friend whom bought it in England in the 80's...sadly lost with the rest of my old vest. fucking ex-girlfriends.

Someone bootlegged, reprinted that shirt last year. And it was available on eBay in all sizes.
Looked damn good, but I bought a different Venom reprint shirt he did.
