Suffocation new song 'As grace descends' from the new record 'Pinnacle of Bedlam' out in early 2013.
I hear a return to the fucking brutal death metal they created in the past album like Pierced and Effigy with a huge actual sound.
Hope the entire album will be in this direction |

I think it sounds really good ... seems they stole the opening riff from "Star Spangled Banner" with Exodus though |

| I dig it. Could end up being the best thing they've done since Despise the Sun. |

Blood Oath was a major letdown. I'm not expecting too much from this new one in all honesty, sample sounds ok though. _________________ Thread derailed

Interested in trading a dub of Apokalypsimz for a dub of Purpurearagotamiceps?

I think the sample sounds great, the artwork though reminds me of the latest Deeds of Flesh album. _________________ Well black metal doesn't really go in that group... at all.... Black metal is all witches and warlocks and graveyards....

Damn.. that sample is a let down. Culross has got to be the most generic blast-beat-for-hire drummer there is. Wonder if they gave any thought to getting Doug Bohn back? _________________

Fuck yes. Quite excited about this, first album with Dave Culross on drums. Despise the Sun is my favorite Suffocation recording, I know many won't agree, but I think it's just as good as their classic stuff, if not even better. The cover does look terrible, but the song is pretty good, I think. _________________ Sic transit gloria mundi |

Indeed, Despise the Sun is one piece of killer death metal. _________________ Well black metal doesn't really go in that group... at all.... Black metal is all witches and warlocks and graveyards....
