The guy can move for a frontman in that clip, too bad the music was generic Cradle of filth melodic riffs and that flail jackoff was fucking idiotic.

I think we are actually talking about two periods here, '95-'97 and '97-'99. The former has a great amount of awesome records, the latter is when everything turned to shit. Both are fun to discuss, although in different ways. |

Still, the vampire mannerisms aside, the guy was a pretty tight drummer. Particularly referring to Triumph Of The Hordes and the old THOKK demo he did with Holocausto on guitars, which was awesome! Too bad about the second half being pointless ambient drivel, but the first half alone is worth it.
Apparently he's a DJ now.

Don't forget his excellent vocals. I actually preferred his voice over The Black Lourde's.
It's kinda funny how Ancient got lumped into the role of Cradle-rip offs because of the Mad Grandiose Bloodfiends cover. The music is (all the threatrical vocals aside) pretty close to old Grand Belial's Key. It has that same mix of Heavy, Punk and Black Metal riffing, and the exact same style of drumming.

I agree. And I like Triumph of the Hordes and the Thokk albums too, for the same reasons you mentioned. He just went on being gay in Ancient.
Commando Wolf told on weekend that Aphazel is nowadays a christian, lives in Athens and drives a taxi for living.
