Anyway, ''The Blood Past'' (compilation of their first 6 pre-album releases) arrived in in the mail earlier and I can't get enough of this. Absolutely fucking killer!
First three albums + The Blood Past is mandatory Death Metal, in my opinion.

Nice! didn't know anything about this... I'm going to have to pick it up with one of my next orders. anything that old coming from these guys stirs some serious excitement for me. I would love to hear some demo stuff

also, I went with cross the styx...

Anyone into early Sinister should check out Weapons to Hunt. The band is made up of former and current members of Sinister and the album they released last year bears a strong resemblance to Cross the Styx.

Weapons to Hunt is Infinited Hate... they have 2 or 3 full length albums under that name.

Best thing about SINISTER was their former vocalist, Rachel. What a cute chick she was - and probably still is.

Yeah, but their new album sounds better than anything I've heard from Infinited Hate.

I'll have to give it a listen. I found everything done as Infinited Hate was mediocre at best.

I chose Cross the Styx. First album I heard by them, and still the one I listen to most often.

Not only is Diabolical Summoning the best Sinister record, it is also the only Sinister full length with good cover art. That pushes it completely over the top.

Diabolical Summoning. On my top 10 of greatest death metal albums. I like the first 3 albums + afterburner. They realle re-captured some of their early sound on that one I think. Nothing since that one has caught my interest!!!

just happened to notice (after furiously searching to verify bone structure of this Rachel gal) that Sinister is now a typical band of ALL new members with only one existing original member (the drummer at that) whack! sounds like time to bury the legacy...

*edit* yes, this Rachel chick has pretty decent bone structure. I approve of said specimen for future earth population purposes
