This sounds interesting. Eisenton just post a news about rereleasing some Ildjarn stuff on CD and Vinyl with noble design.
Heres the posting:

Ildjarn re-issue pact

We are proud to announce that we are currently working closely with Ildjarn on resurrecting all early works from the vaults under CD and vinyl format during 2013. These re-releases will appear in a conceptual way, feature new but matching artwork, noble package and surely work as ultimate editions of these recordings. All music will be taken from the original master sources. Some official merchandise is also in the works.

Records to appear sooner or later:
Norse
Svartfrad
Seven harmonies of unknown truths
Minnesjord
Ildjarn 93

More news and release details to be revealed soon. Stay tuned, if you dare.

So, this is not coming out on SOM, after all? Confused

Maybe SOM is just doing the full-lengths?

For someone who turned his back on the whole thing years ago, Mr. Ildjarn appears to be pretty prolific all of a sudden. Razz

That's fine with me, even though this reminds me of the LLN-buzz and hype that started more than a decade after the Frenchies called it quits. It's hard to believe we have now so many more people into this sort of raw and cacophonic Black Metal than there have been in the 1990ties when these bands were still around. I wonder how many ppl do own a Ildjarn-release (bought for big money off Ebay) but never listen to it at all, actually. Laughing

Worked the other way for me. I found so much stuff that was ridiculously cheap on ebay that a lot of it only got a few listens before getting lost amongst the great expanding mass. It was insane receiving 20 CDs per week at one point, but a little overwhelming. I was beyond ecstatic to discover the proper edition of Strength and Anger for probably 12 - 15 Euros quite a few years ago. Now it rots in storage with so many other CDs that I rarely remember even exist. Threads like these make me wanna hear it again, yet it's roughly 300 miles away

Ildjarn teaches kids?! Has he had a reawakening or something?

If you've read his manifesto you know he's as anti-social as they come, among other things.
No it was actually foreigners/immigrants he teached in Norwegian.

So who said anti-social? Cool

Strength and Anger works great as an album with the ambient track at the end.

Ildjarn fits as much on Eisenwald as it does on SoM...

Damn those longsleeves are Fugly...... The Strenght and Anger-hoodie is ok... sad they couldn't make the sleeve-prints any bigger.

At least the music itself didn't take one in the ass..

Still puzzled about that recent ILDJARN buzz, tbph! Then again, it's good he himself gets some recognition (and bucks for that matter) for what he did and not any wanna-be-copycats, cos eventually NOBODY, no matter how hard certain folks/bands tried, came even close to ILDJARN's ferocious, intensity!

I never got into Ildjarn back in the 90s cause the song or two I heard didnt do anything for me at the time. Now that its been a long time and my tastes have changed, plus a lot of people who I share similar tastes with here talk Ildjarn up, Id be interested in getting a repress. Am I bad guy?

Ildjarn was one of my first black metal obsessions. I couldn't believe how shrill and insane everything sounded as a kid. It made Darkthrone sound like ABBA. I can still listen to it from time to time, but it doesn't have quite the same effect on me now.
