So I had two of their albums (Laibach and Macbeth) given to me a decade ago from an NS friend of mine who wanted them burned to cd. They've been kicking around ever since and over the last couple of weeks I've dug them out end enjoyed them immensely. Anyone else a fan and can offer me further reccomendations? Cheers in advance... _________________

| OPUS DEI is a strong Laibach album as well. My favorite. |

Nova Akropola, Opus Dei,
Neu Konservatiw is a great live record
When it comes to the newer stuff, I like Volk as well.
They did the Iron Sky soundtrack recently, so if you enjoy esoteric Third Reich mumbo jumbo and Laibach, this movie is for you. _________________ Geißel des Fleisches - Bis aufs Blut gequält |

Nova Akropola is good. Is there an audio which has that version of DRZAVA(sp?) which is the same as the Video? The Lp version is Different.
What are good releases to go from there? |

| Fantastic band. One of my favorite albums of theirs is 'Kapital'. |

Their version of Let It Be was good. _________________ "If noise means uncomfortable sound. Then pop is noise to me" - Masami Akita. |

| Jesus Christ Superstars is the album that gets the most play from me. However, I don't think you can really go wrong with anything from Laibach. |

| Laibach is the best. Like some others mentioned, Opus Dei is pretty great. The old documentary is worth watching, too. |

I could never like Opus Dei much. I come back to it and try every now and then and it never clicks. Maybe I should try it again.
I listen to the Rekapitulacija 1980–1984 double CD religously. That stuff is total magic. I haven't heard Macbeth, Nova Akropola, and some of the other well known releases. |

My favourite album of theirs is Slovenska Akropola - if I'm not mistaken this album was only released in Yugoslavia, but I might be wrong. The production is very different than on Nova Akropola ... more raw and far more powerful in my opinion.
Compare this (Nova Akropola song):

And this (Slovenska Akropola version of the same song):

I would reccomend almost everything by them, although albums from the 90s are really not that good if you compare them to others. My favourites are both of the abovementioned Akropolas, Opus Dei, Rekapitulacija and WAT. |
