IMO no one would ever mention them here. |
That's ridiculous. |
Indeed. Probably, less "irregular" vocals would rather increase than decrease Demilich's popularity. |

| Demilich's music is FAR from being standard death metal. They have a super weid groovy thing going on which is unlike anything other death metal bands do. Methinks some people have been judging them a bit quick without paying attention to the music or the riffs and focussing on the vocals maybe. |

| Yeah, the riffs are really what grab my attention. If it wasn't for their style of writing they wouldn't be nearly as interesting. The vocals are just an added touch to me. |

This band is fucking nuts!!!!!!!!!!!
I really was influenced by them at a vulnerable time and I'm always bewitched by their astral sounds. |

Even without the frog-vox, the interplay between the bass/drums and guitars is really unusual and bizarre. I dont really notice the vocals as being that wierd anymore, I'm too busy trying to figure out the bass parts in my head. _________________ "14 words: we must secure the depravation of the children and ruin the whole fucking world..." |

| Demilich is amazing. Are there any other similar sounding bands? |

Cosmic Atrophy's Codex Incubo tried to catch this very weird riffstyle. I have a mixed feeling about this album, it's not bad but it's too obvious that they tried to be like Demilich.
If I remember well Nauseant from Sweden is also a little close.
About Demilich the demos + nespithe are pure masterpieces. These records, perhaps the album even more, stand among the best death metal stuff ever played/recorded. Incredible sense of twisted yet groovy sense of riffing, amazing vocals... excellent. Nespithe is one of my prefered albums. A true milestone of extreme metal ! _________________ If you tell me to recycle

Try Fabricant. Their demo is awesome weird death metal. Not sure if it's on Youtube, so here's a later track they did.

| Wasn't there a band called Biolich which was a Demilich clone/ripoff? |
