I wish the entire album was in the style of this song:

The non horror metal songs are still very good heavy metal. Can anyone recommend more stuff like this from Russia? I know the basic bands that everyone knows already. I'm looking for the more obscure darker side of Russian heavy metal from the 80's and early 90's. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. My faves beside wellknown CCCP bands :
Monte Cristo - good heavy metal with ex Kruiz drummer, too bad nothing official,
Alexandr Nevski/Novi Zavet - if you like Trouble
Jelezni Potok - too much Metallica but last tape is great Voivodish
Kantor - demo doomy
Orden - demo speed metalish
First aid - Accept worship
Trupnii Yad - demo 91
you can check most of them on metalrus.ru _________________ Turbojugend Istanbul |

| I got the Novoy Zavet "Apocalypse" CD on Stormspell recently - great stuff. Also Varvar are great, I only have a dodgy MP3 of this though, the record is, by all accounts, impossible to find. |

The review for Credo sounds killer. I'll have to track that down. I swear they only had one Soviet graphic designer designing all LP covers and logos back then. They all look nearly identical. _________________ The only email I have access to is nwnprod (at) gmail (dot) com. I do not have access to my old Yahoo addresses.

| Credo and Varvar are the obvious answers. For the Credo LP, Igor (don't know if he posts here? check the corroseum's trading board) can hook you up but Varvar is pretty much impossible to find. |
