I already thought on this after the Gorgoroth poll, maybe just I don't remember well and there was already one but I'd be curious to see the result of an Immortal poll.

I didn't found one, so here we go:

Haha, nice bro. Voted for Battles In The North because of nostalgia. I met with Immortal on this album, actually Battles was my first black metal record. But hard choice between Battles & At The Heart Of Winter.

In a row for me:

1. Battles In The North
1. At The Heart Of Winter
2. Pure Holocaust
3. Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism
4. Blizzard Beasts
5. All Shall Fall (very good comeback album)
6. Damned In Black
7. Sons Of Northern Darkness

Blizzard Beasts
not surprised no one has picked it. Blizzard Beasts always reminded me of Morbid Angel, can't really explain why. other than that - At The Heart Of Winter.

Well it does have a production kind of reminiscent to Formulas Fatal To The Flesh, so that might be why.
You're not the first person I've heard saying Blizzard Beasts got some Morbid Angel in it.

That album was supposedly recorded after a tour with Morbid Angel, so there might be a reason to it.

If I remember correctly, they were on tour together before.

Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism. Battles In The North is a close second. Those are only two Immortal albums I need.

No Pure Holocaust?! Maybe too much of a holocaust for you.

Pure Holocaust for sure. But their discography is great up and including At the Heart of Winter.

ATHOW overall. But cannot go wrong with anything up to and including DIB. SOND has some decent material, but generally marked the decline of this band.

Heh. It's not a bad album by any means. For some reason I just find myself listening to those two most often every time I decide to put on some Immortal.
