Cool, I'll just continue to listen to my original cd's and not waste money on these.

What's the deal with releasing of records with no vinyl mastering and dynamics?

Most of the vinyl reissues you buy nowadays are still made from CD masters. However they would have to be remastered by the pressing plant or a lacquer cutter for vinyl anyway. And early 2000's albums like Gateways and Conquering the Throne were probably digitally recorded in the first place.

That being said releasing those old titles that already had FDR EU pressings not long ago with CD masters is a bit of a shit move. Should've focused on the titles that Earache haven't bothered doing themselves, for example I'm pretty stoked about a vinyl version of Who Dares Wins. Would love to see a DLP with the complete Streetcleaner album too.

The engineers at the plants don't seem to be interested in listening for aesthetics (hence lots and lots of bad cuts out there), they appear to be mostly interested in bandwidth limitations - better to either have an independent lacquer cutter remaster it or pre-master it before turning in.

Why most labels don't do it? It's either time-intensive or expensive or both. And frankly, most labels get away with it.
