I read in the net, that "unter the sign... " was also released 1987 as a Swedish/Black Mark Press. I have never seen that version. Anyone has that? I am talking of course about the first presses and not recent repressing since the last 10 years....
Also, does anyone know why also the US version (New Renaissance) is also rarely seen? The Under one Flag is pretty easy to get....

I got the NR edition when it was released on vinyl, and it was around quite a bit back then. The only one I have left is signed and that's a UOF version.
I've never heard of the '87 Swedish press before, but there are probably people more skilled in the complete discography than me.

| As far as I know there is no Black Mark pressing of 'Under the Sign'. |

Talking about Bathory vinyl trivia - I know that those who ordered the Twilight of the Gods LP from Black Mark received an autographed copy in the early 90's, but has anyone here got it autographed with a pen and not with a black marker?
I recently scored a copy that has the autograph written with a pen, but since the price was very fair and the seller didn't even mention the autograph before I got the package via the mail - it doesn't seem like he faked the signature in order to raise the price... |

I've seen a copy of the first album signed in a ballpoint pen and a promo poster for the debut signed and numbered in pen, but nothing really after that.
My UTSOTBM is a marker.

It has a dedication; my girl got it through channels and straight from a BM rep from back in the day for my birthday three years ago.

Sorry for the shitty camera phone pictures, I can't find our camera.
I bought this when I was 17 at Dr. Strange records. I don't really know a whole lot about pressings by who or what. I always thought it was a repress? but someone is saying it doesn't exist. Maybe I misunderstood. But there ya go. |

I had always assumed it was a repress, so I never bothered looking it up. Then NK7 said no such existed, I got up and looked found it, but yeah, not the one the OP is looking for.
BTW I'm 24 now  |
