BATHORY (1984-1989 era) of course.
I can also add : (old) SAMAEL ("Worship Him", "Blood Ritual", "Ceremony of Opposites" ; nearly perfect BM music & lyrics for me).
And also :
(old) TORMENTOR ("The seventh day of Doom", "Anno Domini").
(old) MASTER'S HAMMER (1987-1993 ; but their last stuffs are great too).
(old) EMPEROR (1992-1995).
(old) SIGH ("Scorn defeat", Infidel art").
And...
Early MORBID ANGEL ("Abominations of Desolation" : this sounds as Black as Death Metal, and it's better and darker than 99% of so-called Black Metal of nowadays). |
