I'm looking for stuff like Mayhem's Wolf's Lair Abyss and Emil Dragutinovich's drumming on Marduk's Plague Angel. Just all out carnage performed with a high level of skill.

Great album, but I'm looking for stuff that is a little more straight forward.

Abigor's Apocalypse and Zyklon-B's Blood Must Be Shed could fit the bill.

Yeah that's a fantastic, criminally underrated band.

If you want technical drummers in Black Metal, could be Kathaaria, Emperor, DsO (specially Paracletus), Ved Buens Ende, Sinmara, Adustum.

Extremely fast: Thunderbolt/Infernal War, Kriegsmaschine, Tenebrosus, Celestia, Antaeus and a lot of other Polish/French BM bands.

Naahh, don't think so, First, they DON'T sound programmed at all and even triggering its pretty hard point out too. Second, i've heard from a few gents (quite close ro the NED/DsO circle) that the drummer is actually Christian/Hasjarl' s younger brother. Or his cousin. Or something.

Edit:

Fixed!

aaaaaand while on topic: Battles in the North is a pretty fucking relentless record drumwise. Hell, even the guitar sound is as aggressive as a pissed off gorilla.
