Time to piss off the carping with another poll, and what better band for this than Marduk? I used to be into them back in the 90's, but somehow lost interest after the release of Nightwing. Haven't given them much attention since, but it seems obvious that the addition of Mortuus has turned out the be their saving grace. The much needed blood transfusion that helped revitalize the band. Any devotees out there who'd care to share their opinions on this bands long-standing legacy?

Ps. Had to cut away Wormwood and Serpent Sermon due the limited poll options...

Would vote for Here's No Peace but since it's only albums... Hard to choose between Those of the... and Opus. I'll take both.

I'm probably one of the only people to think this, but I vote for Wormwood.

Hard to say, fantastic band all around except maybe for the late Legion era. He was a douche.

I've only heard the first four albums. I like all of them but I voted for "Dark Endless". Nice contrast there with a DM-type production and BM vocals. Plus it's got several killer songs like "Still Fucking Dead", "Departure From the Mortals", "The Black" and "The Funerals Seemed to Be Endless".

Indeed, such a great introduction with the title-track.

Voted for "Those of the Unlight", that was one of the first 2nd-wave albums that caught my attention and it still holds up. First three albums are all classic.

Legion-era hasn't aged well, but back then I liked that hyperblasting stuff. They were also a great live-band during these years.

Haven't listened to anything after "La Grande Danse Macabre".

Those of the Unlight!
But almost everything done with Mortuus is amazing too.

The trilogy Heaven\Nightwing\Panzer with this last my fave.

There is the true essence of Marduk. There is Satan.

Either Rom 5:12 or Those Of The Unlight. I'd probably say Those Of The Unlight.
I don't really like Legion era and Mortuus era is like a cheaper less religous Funeral Mist too me.
But I guess you can't escape comparing the When the vocalist is the same.

Early days: Dark Endless
Legion era: Heaven Shall Burn
w/Mortuus in the ranks: Plague Angel probably, but they all come off as excellent efforts

I'm surprised no demo kvltist has come up with a "Fuck me Jesus ONLY!!" post yet.
