A few years ago I picked up a Dutch compilation CD called Metaltrax part III (released in 1994). I assumed it was gonna' be total shit, but turns out basically every band is fucking great.

One band, DOOMSDAY B.C, who seem almost completely unknown (Anyone??) have two fucking awesome songs on the CD. Considering I cannot find them anywhere, I've decided to rip them so everyone else can have a listen.

They play an upbeat style of death/doom with nice leads and killer guitar tone. These songs must be from about 1992.

You HAVE to hear these vocals!!!

Spiritual Architect: http://andrewbuntine.com/music/doomsday_bc_spiritual_architect.ogg
Doors of Perception: http://andrewbuntine.com/music/doomsday_bc_doors_of_perception.ogg

Enjoy, and let me know what you think... Smile

Shocked Brilliant stuff! Too bad we can't find more info about the band.
According to MA they released one demo and one live demo only...

Nope, they work. Your browser should be able to interpret OGG files directly. Just click 'em.

Oh wow, cool stuff. On that sampler, there is even Mothra included. One more of these unknown gems from the Netherlands. Had to grab this CD off ebay for 6 Euros instantly.

Humus to the rescue.

According to my tapelist I have the following demotapes:
DoomsdayB.C. (NL) Livedemo '92
DoomsdayB.C. (NL) Demo '93

But to be honest I have no clue how they sound. Those tapes are in storage and on top I have no means anymore to rip my tapes...

Yes, Morthra have a couple of great tracks on there.

Also, look out for Morganom when you get it. Crushing!

I have one of the biggest Dutch demo-collections so I guess you can call it an archive if you want Wink

Found one Doomsday BC tape. Had the other in my hand too but accidently put it back in a box and can't find it anymore.
Tapes have the crappy pixelated lay-outs that are normally reserved for demotapes released in 1995-1997.

By the way, one of my favourite 'unknown' band from that lowland swamp: PYATHROSIS!
