Those guys can really write great riffs though I found Incorrigible to be a bit more memorable and intense than Galloping through the battleruins. Hornets of the pogrom was ok but I just kind of loss interest the riffs didn't really have the same power as the prior album, but Arghoslent are great all and all. |
Hornets is definitely a grower. I think about 6 months ago I would have agreed with you, but now I am inclined to say Hornets might be my favorite. The arrangements are really next level compared to the earlier stuff, and the drumming is totally nuts. |
This. Galloping is a snoozer....... _________________ http://www.myspace.com/northendmetalallstars |

| Galloping is great but Incorrigible is definitely the bands best work. |

The funny thing about Arghoslent's entire discography is how it just keeps giving. There are times when you might think Galloping is a snooze, but try listening to everything else they've done once in a while, and then come back to it. Eureka!
Hornets eventually became my favorite too, but really, these guys can't do wrong even if they tried. _________________ §:-Ğl |

It seems sometimes that half of this forum is dedicated to GBK/ARGH worship. Wouldn't have it any other way. _________________

Well I bumped this thread today, so I'm as guilty now.
Was curious about that Vampire Magazine interview as a review that referenced it claimed Genocider was a "strange fellow". Just idly wondering what that was all about.
Hard to compare them to other death metal as the riffs seem to take in the whole scope of metal. Much as I love Necros Christos it would be a weird fit to measure them against Arghoslent. |

There was a fantastic split lp with Martial Barrage a few years back. Still easy to find and awesome if you like the Hornets..., material. |
