That artwork reminds me of the German(?) artwork for the "hitchhiker's guide..." series. With that connection, I think it's not that bad!

It COULD have some potential, but it's the colors and gradient styles that are terrible. I mean, those look like default colors! There have been no mixing at all...

Yeah, I like the concept, but the execution is what makes it so horrendous. It's like they paid some dropout graphic design student $20 to throw it together. |

The coloration makes the art look horrible. The actual picture is OK (though not nearly as cool as his old art, sad to say) - it's the photoshop coloring that looks ridiculous.
Oh well, track still sounds cool.
Here's a quick and dirty more-Voivodified version. If they're trying to hearken back to the Hatross/Nothingface era, I think this wouldn't be as completely horrible:
