As there are lots of threads on this forum asking for the quality of several LP reissues artwork and sp. sound-wise, I thought it would be nice to have just one to raise these questions and have them answered. Also, info on where are the sources from (if they are just MP3 or CD rips pressed into vinyl) would be nice, I guess, since I don't know any site that has all this (imo very important) info all gathered.

So, what about all these Incantation and Morbid Angel albums which were originally available only in CD format being reissued on LP? Anyone knows if the master tapes were used? Could AOD's superior listening discern it, maybe? Smile

How are the King Diamond and Mercyful Fate reissues on Metal Blade?
I recently got "The Graveyard" DLP and it sounds/looks great. Are all the others on par?

They are great! Far superior then Carfo/Roadrunner Reissues. MB puts a lot effort in reissues.

I have Don't Break the Oath and it is excellent. Pretty sure they used the original tapes for the source.

I only own the recent Fate re-issues, but those are excellent indeed! Nothing overly fancy but solid good quality sleeves with original cover art, lyric sheet and poster, and, most importantly, great sounding records.

I don't own the original "In the Shadows" pressing or the Back on Black one to compare, but "Time" is definitely superior to the Night of the Vinyl Dead pressing. All in all highly recommended re-issues!

Thanks for the info, guys! I'll definitely grab more of the Metal Blade re-issues.
