Re-watched my DVD of "Der Untergang" (The Downfall) this weekend. Maybe the best WWII based movie... (Speaking of WWII based movies, has anyone here seen this year's Russian "Stalingrad" ?)

I also went to the theater to shut my brain off and see "Escape Plan".

Elysium. Blomkamp's films always have the best set/effect designs around.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Elysium except for the predictable ending. The gore was surprisingly awesome though.

The Mrs. took me with her to see Hunger Games (2). Shit movie.

Watched Flight the other day. As a person dealing with substance issues, that one was pretty depressing.

Flight...the one with Denzel Washington? I thought that was ok; although the ending was quite predictable.

I have been watching a lot of shite unfortunately: Murder set pieces...more like murder shit pieces. Terrible. I fell asleep several times towards the end. It wasn't even funny shit...

White house down...quite stupid, brainless 'entertainment' I have to admit.

Re-watching the 3rd series of The Walking Dead..

My brother's friend, Jim Mickle, directed this. He's supposedly a rising young talent in the horror genre. Haven't seen it myself but it's said to be pretty good.

Hellraiser collection. I initially passed this up time after time as it didn't have the first two, but after a while I figured that the next six where worth at the the $5 I spent in a grocery store for it.

They're not worth even $1. Trust me. Laughing

They're not classics by any stretch, but they're perfectly entertaining b-movies.

I swear I must be the only person on Earth that really likes this movie. It's so bad that's it's fantastic.
The gore is great, and the main character is like a living, breathing Reiner Wolfcastle from The Simpsons ! Seriously, watch it again, but imagine that it's McBain and it's a much better film.
There are some really funny lines in it like when he tells the young girl that women suck the blood from men every day, but at the end of the month some of it leaks out Laughing
I also love it when he's getting head from the decapitated head in his car, then throws it out the window and yells "PIG!!!" at it Laughing

I'm gonna have to watch it again soon.
