Saw Black Klansman last night, I enjoyed it a lot. Very confronting movie though.

watched this one last weekend, i think i laughed more than anything, but had smoked a little. on that note, i think it was pretty mediocre overall.

Re-watched The Guest (2014). Absolutely loved everything about it again. Totally one of my favorite movies. Brilliant soundtrack as well.

Re-watched The Last Jedi, hoping it was not as bad as I remembered.

It's such a shitshow, I don't even know where to start.

Re-watched Wake Wood.

A grieving couple (who just lost their daughter after she got mauled by a dog) has just recently moved to a remote village where they stumble across a secret that gives them the opportunity to reconnect with their dead child.
Quite reminiscent to Pet Sematary with a couple of hints of The Wicker Man. A pretty decent low-budget horror.

Re watched about a year back. I do enjoy this film. Timothy Spall is great.

Walker (1987) - This might be the weirdest, most sloppy, yet incredibly accurate flick I've ever seen on US expansionism during the 19th Century. Ed Harris played the crazy mercenary known as William Walker who wanted to set up a slave holding state in Latin America. The movie is about how he sets out with a rabble of scumbags, irregulars, and mercs and conquers Nicaragua. The movies is awkwardly paced, sometimes inept and sloppy, and the musical score is completely off track. That said, when it comes to the actual attitudes of the time, the lawlessness, ruthless robber barons, the kookie WASP fundamentalism, the soldiers themselves basically there for rape and gold, and nothing more. It was a total box office and critical failure, received zero promotion, and the director had a hard time finding work in Hollywood ever since. Perhaps a little too close to the truth of what the US armies and their fanatical backers and leaders were REALLY up to during the era? hmm... 8/10
