Haha, Kurosawa! Great one. Japanese "western" ...
Samurai films are what many westerns are based off of(Yojimbo/Sanjuro/Seven Samurai, to name a few). Even Star wars rips off a Samurai Jidaigeiki film.

Aesthetically it was great but the writing was atrocious, none of the characters displayed any form of logic...

Recently watched The Happiness of the Katakuris again for the 4th time. One of my favorite Miike films, for sure. What a bizzare genius that man is...

Cold Fish was pretty good. GREAT gore, but the plot got kind of bumpy and convoluted at times.

For a re-boot of an already fucked-up franchise, this was quite entertaining to watch. At least it makes you forget a bit about that Predator-crossover-nonsense.

Will agree with most and say that the script and writing could've been done a lot better, but the atmosphere, production, and visuals were awesome. I will buy it some day.

Watched this today, it was alright. Not really anything good but neither total shitfest. The idea was good so it could have been better.

Watched Sinister some time ago and it was scary as hell. Its not often I get troubles sleeping after a movie, but congrats, you did it. Cheers.

Worth watching just for the soundtrack alone, it's incredibly well done.

The Conjuring. And surprisingly it lived up to the hype.
