This or apocalypse now I've watched the most in my life.
Does anyone have the soundtrack? the intro must be the most epic theme I've heard.[/b]

The new Great Gatsby. Was weird with all the over exaggerated and over saturated colors.

For a re-boot of an already fucked-up franchise, this was quite entertaining to watch. At least it makes you forget a bit about that Predator-crossover-nonsense.

I thought it was alright, Michael Fassbender is a great actor and carries the movie mostly.

Haha, Kurosawa! Great one. Japanese "western" ...

Gravity was a perfect film. 10/10. Unreal special effects.

I mainly liked the overall aesthetics. Ridley Scott faithfully payed tribute to the visuals of his original.

And for a (sort of) "prequel", it could have been way worse. For example thinking of Hannibal Rising, Terminator Salvation or The Thing 2011.

Otherwise one still can pretend there hasn't been a new Alien-movie since 1992, like before.

I thought Prometheus was an okay movie to watch once. Won't be getting re-watches but wasn't totally shit.

Aesthetically it was great but the writing was atrocious, none of the characters displayed any form of logic...

Biologist: A dead alien! Run!

Geologist: We're lost!

Biologist: Oh, space cobra! I'm going to pet it.

I thought the scientists in the movie were unforgivably retarded, but other than that I enjoyed it. More movies need gods that are indifferent or hostile to humanity and see them merely as a failed experiment to be disposed of like so much biological waste.

Also liked the way it depicted what a galaxy-spanning bureaucracy with access to stasis tech would be like. Things like bioweapons labs could just go black for a millennium because nothing important is being threatened and clean up will commence when the staff comes out of suspended animation. Awesome.
