Watched this a few days ago: not hugely familiar with Gus Van Sant, but this struck a nerve. Handles its subject matter effectively and brutally without being disingenuous.

The Conjuring has to be the worst movie I've seen in the last few years. We were all laughing in derision by the end of the movie at how bad it was.

I haven't seen it yet, but there's no way it could be worse than Mama. What a fucking gay movie that was, and literally made no sense.....

Really ? I don't see how anyone who appreciates classic 70's horror and haunted house films could dislike this film to that degree. I thought it was a damn good film with great vibes and a genuine old fashioned atmosphere that didn't rely on gore. The acting was also very good all around .
