Only God Forgives : 8, really enjoyed this, very lynchian.

Sounds good! Looking forward to catching this; the lynchian vibe and the graphic violence that made those faggot critics cry!

I've got that film lined up to watch!

Talking of Vikings..I've just watched all of Vikings. Pretty good. People kept comparing it to Game of thrones though...

Trance...not bad, kind of similar to Memento, the Machinist and Inception in places

The Place beyond the pines...ok, although over long, and at times I did think that "it...insists upon itself!"

Also, re-watched Shutter Island, as I haven't seen it since it came out over here. I have a soft-spot for films about madness/asylums etc...

The Pusher trilogy is also fantastic!

Just got back from seeing Pacific Rim for the third time. Best movie of the year for me for sure. Hopefully the US Godzilla movie next year will be done with the same degree of respect to the genre and not end up like the POS I can only refer to as GINO (Godzilla in Name Only)!

So I watched Valhalla Rising.
Good stuff; very "art"! I knew that it would be so when it took 10 minutes or something until the first line was spoken. Very absorbing and surreal at times too.
I'm going to investigate some of Nicholas Winding earlier films, like the Pusher trilogy and Bleeder.

I've been watching all the old Charlie Brooker's screenwipes too...that will only really be known to us limey brits though...

Today I watched Fargo and Wonderland, both for the first time.

Both pretty decent but neither particularly mindblowing. I know a lot of people bum Fargo, and its good, but I think maybe the Coen brothers are never going tot toally grab me.

wonderland that val kilmer movie about john holmes? i like that one.

i saw Day Watch a few weeks ago and that was one of the craziest movies i've ever seen, minus Irreversible which is definitely the craziest movie i've ever seen but on a much worse level. day watch is just unexpected off the wall over the top nutball stuff while still being entertaining.

I think every Coen Brothers film, besides No Country for Old Men needs to be seen a few times to truly appreciate..... Just like a lot of great albums.

I randomly watched that a couple weeks ago, the white trash Australian killer movie? Was funny at times, more "gummo"ish then I expected. Not a bad waste of time, but not a great movie by any means.
