Alien: Resurrection. Was worse than I remembered.

So I had to take a fix with the original three films afterwards.

That movie was awful, a desperate attempt to ressurect a franchise that should have been left alone. The other films, including Alien 3, are perfect movies in my book.

I don't know... Aliens was practically a comedy.
In my opinion, the original is the masterpiece... and the only one that actually gave the feeling of true terror and isolation.

The first 2 are where its at for me. First one is a masterpiece of horror, and the 2nd blends horror with action superbly. 3rd one was a bit dull, felt like a rehash of the 1st.

Northing wrong with Alien 3 IMO. Actually I just checked out the 2003 different version of it. Wasn't even aware of it! Pretty good but nowhere as good as the original theater cut. This new edit seemed a bit prolonged. There were some small details altered also...

Finally got around to watching Sleepaway Camp tonight and holy shit.

Maybe someone here can help. Is there any way to get a legitimate copy of the songs featured in this film? Specifically the songs playing during the social and in the girls' cabins?

After some searching, I found this:
http://sleepawaycampfilms.com/tonightyouremine.mp3

but this is obviously a botched job. Would really like a clean copy of that song. Reeks of ultimate 80's

Yesterday I found The Eternal Flame of Gehenna, movie from 2011, but worth watching if you haven't seen it yet.
Btw the interviews with Lord Satanachia are great, when speaking, for some reason he reminds me Pekka Siitoin Very Happy

I really enjoyed this as well.
Here's a review of it. The youtube link doesn't work anymore.

A few days ago I watched Absentia, a very good horror which I'm still processing in my mind.

That Terry Gilliam film, The zero theorem, seems interesting. I'll be looking that up.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Waste of time 5/10

Not a movie but I watched the 2 seasons of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. First 5 episodes were bad and somewhere in the 2nd season there were 5 more bad episodes-fillers. In general I wasn't impressed, the show was quite boring, I expected some time loop things and time paradoxes but I was disappointed. The very very ending was quite clever and subversive though. 6/10

So after that, I watched the first three original Terminator films. The second one is my favourite. I feel lucky cause I had watched it on cinema back in the day and I remember how much of a shock T-1000 was. Afterwards, when my friends and I played "war" and we were supposed to select a character (like Robocop, Rambo, ninja etc) T-1000 was forbidden cause he was almost indestructible Razz The 1st one is a classic, it could have been better but my opinion is that if it weren't for Arnie and Cameron, today we would be talking about a very good 80's cult b-movie with a nice plot. The 3rd Terminator was "caricaturistic", some nice scenes, nothing more. 7.5/10 10/10 5.5/10

Finally have some time to watch Boardwalk Empire.

Great series, although the story about Margaret is boring and useless. On the way to watch the season 4.

I thought Zero Theorem was a load of shit, to be frank. And I really like Gilliam's work and films with this subject matter, so I was very disappointed with it. It's a massive clusterfuck from start to finish and totally overacted at all times, and not in a charming Gilliam kind of way. Totally pretentious, even.

Now, a movie I saw that was REALLY good, I thought, was The Vanishing (80s original one not the remake). Damn..... bleak as shit. Highly recommended.
