I think I'm going to be starting up Twin Peaks again sometime soon now that the new blu-ray box is out. I watched the unreleased film material the other night and it was excellent.

Watched the "badass 90's Nicolas Cage trilogy" after many years.

The Rock 8.5/10
Con Air 7/10
Face/Off 8.5/10

Awesome movies, Rock and Face/Off are two of the best action (non sci-fi) movies ever.

Nicolas Cage must have an untalanted twin brother. On half of his movies he's really good, mature and convincing, on the other half he's over dramatic and ridiculous. WTF.

Agreed on both counts. Judging from the trailer, it looks like they've gone all out with the organic action... but who knows if this will just be a tease and the majority of the rest of the setpieces will be horseshit CGI, like you said.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad we're finally at/nearing a time when CGI looks damn good. Of course, I will always prefer organic practical effects, especially for gore, but the CGI coming out today is leaps and bounds ahead of what it was a decade ago when everthing that used CGI looked like total shit. It seems the technology and the minds behind it are finally starting to reach their potential.

LOL, I guess it's not just me then; changing the light level via CG is horrifying, which is what I think they did there - artificial night

I bet the villain would even be a roided out gay dude, given people's moral butthurt these days

80s action movies will never be topped, for the rest of the cinematic life of our entire species

Exclamation

But Rambo IV was also better than Rambo III, so let's give it a chance.

Yeah you are right.
2008's RAMBO IV was an ultra-pleasant watch.
If not better, at least is the most bloodiest and gory movie in the whole RAMBO saga.

that movie actually looks/sounds awesome! Shocked

Fight For Your Life is awesome. Of course an over the top blaxploitation movie might be hard to get into for some. Laughing

I have the VHS (NTSC) for sale, PM if ineterested.
