Awesome movie, from the good Cronenberg years. The ending scene where the Fly puts the gun at its head is unforgetable.

Don't know why, but I went on a binge of robot/alien invasion movies last week:

Transformers
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Battle: Los Angeles
Battleship

All decent movies. Packed with every possible cliche, but pretty entertaining because of the special effects. Would not rate any of them more than 6 out of 10 though.

True Detective episode 4

I'm slowly making my way through this, I watch 3 episodes 2 months ago and watched episode 4 today. So who knows when I'll finish it, and I don't even really care where the story is going I think the characterizations of the two leads are measured and played very well. It is a pleasure to see such care put into making a movie, it's shocking almost these days, the cinemas truly are dead. 9/10 so far

Really? I thought it was awesome. Heaps of in-jokes for Krautrock/industrial music fans scattered throughout the film.

Yeah, absolutely, rubbish from A to Z.

A little bit of Mars Attacks, a little bit of Inglorious Basterds (or whatever recent movie where Nazis are somehow "funny" or "cool") and a lot of bad scripting & weakly constructed, unbelievable characters resulting in a terribly implausible and incoherent plot.

That's what happens when amateurs receive too much money for nothing.

Great show! I finished season 1 about two weeks ago, can't wait for season 2.

Got Grindhouse Releasing's new "Cannibal Holocaust" bluray. Gotta wait for the wife to be out of the house to watch it though. She watched the DVD with me once and that was enough for her.

House II. I hadn't seen it since it came out when I was a kid. Where the first one tried to be scary but had stupid parts this one is just silly. Bleh.

Watched the entire The Guild series in one sitting. Now I want Codex and Tink in a threeway.

Just watched Robocop (for the 4th time this year). Anybody else who thinks this movie is a masterpiece? The cocaine factory scene is fucking perfect and the Poledouris music fits ideally. Clarence Boddicker is one of the most underrated movie villains ever. 9/10 for me.

The remake is a major fail btw.

Certainly good. I think i like Total Recall a bit better though. Not planning to watch the remake. PV is the king of gore and tits.

Watched "The Gate Keepers". Check out the trailer here: http://youtu.be/HdMjr8cuEy8

A really interesting insight into the Israel/Palestine situation.
