Watched this last night, I enjoyed it. Some interesting editing choices make for an original feel.

Singapore Sling is no Island of Perversion/Island of Death but is still fun Smile

^ Singapore Sling certainly was fun! Have to watch it again.

Been at home, ill so I've been watching a lot of films..

The Abominable Dr Phibes
Henry-Portrait of a serial killer
Eastern Promises
The Serpent and the Rainbow

I've probably watched about 6-7 episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm too...

I re watched Law Abiding Citizen a couple of nights ago, I gotta say I really enjoy this movie. It's a little far fetched, sure but it's entertaining as all hell.

Swimming With Sharks - cheesy early 90s indie flick in the spirit of Glenngary Glenn Ross with Kevin Spacy as an utterly sadistic studio exec torturing a young personal assistant into madness. Spacey gives a great performance as a complete and utter asshole. 7 out of 10

Excellent film.

I think if this had gotten a proper release back in the day then Spacey would've become huge before Se7en and The Usual Suspects.

Glenngary Glenn Ross rules by the way.

I was very entertained with this film, but disappointed with the moral-fueled ending.

Agreed on both counts. I have a coffee mug at work with "for closers only" printed on it :p

Godzilla 2014 - the trailer was better, I thought this was going to be dark and heavy like the original, it is more in line with the Timmy-centric ones of the early 70s as every fucking scene revolves around some stupid kid's point of view. The main character is fucking lame as hell, we are supposed to be won over by "support the troops" and "brang my boy hoooome" sentiments so they don't actually have to make the character interesting at all. Really, the guy just stands around and you are supposed to like him because he has a crew cut. That is the entire character. Why do I talk of this more than Godzilla? Because Godzilla is in the fucking movie for 5 whole minutes. Too much troops propaganda, it looks great, but whatever, I saw it, not really impressed. It is not bad but I don't like the way movies are going these days. They're all shot like overtly arty cooking shows or life insurance commercials.

Look up Quentin Tarantino's idea for a Godzilla movie, I wish that was made instead.
