Watched the new Robocop the other day. I think someone mentioned that if you liked Dredd, it reminds me a lot of it. At the very least camera angles/whatever wise. Looks similar I should say. Dredd was way cooler though.
Was kind of funny when Robocop stone gazes his family.
Also watched both Wayne's World, and Wayne's World 2 today for the fifth or sixth time. Never gets old. |

Expect No Mercy starring Billy Blanks
A high tech virtual reality sci-fi action thriller set in the early 90s, Billy Blanks must infiltrate a virtual reality soldier training camp (where everyone looks keyboard players for a fantasy power metal band), sorta the same plot as Enter The Dragon, but with VIRTUAL REALITY COMPUTER GENERATED SPECIAL EFFECTS pushing this to the forefront of futuristic combat thrillers. The training takes place in a psychedelic pastel nightmare where every punch is accompanied by a bolt of lightning and opponents explode in waves of fire and electric power. Some parts of the movie look like Pit Fighter if it were on Sega CD. The plot is impossible to follow, the main bad guy has a luxurious mullet and his compound is adorned with massive photos of himself. Billy Blanks has a very weird shaped head and cannot act at all.
I would only recommend watching this drunk with at least 2 other people. _________________ http://ritualdecay.bandcamp.com/

I didn't particularly like the Old Boy remake, I gave it a 6 strictly for the cinematography. I liked the Carrie remake, kill me. I haven't seen Narc for years, if I was to rate it I would give it a 9, I fucking loved it.
If my opinions bug you so much don't read my posts. |

Watched This is England the other night; great movie. For whatever reason I seem to enjoy any and all skinhead flicks. Anyone know if the TiE TV series is worth watching at all? _________________

The TV series was pretty shitty but I watched them anyways. The Movie is pretty cheesey also but I can see the appeal in almost any movies about the skinhead subculture. even corny spirit of 69 stuff.. The tv series veers away from that part and plays out like any other tv drama with little/nothing to do with skinhead subculture.
Not that related but kind of, I watched this movie called Betrayed from 1981 I believe. It's loosely based on American white supremacist Robert Matthews/The Order, and I thought it was pretty suspensful, It actually kept me on the edge of my seat. |

Just bought a BluRay player yesterday so picked up a couple of discs. Got "Alien" since it's a movie I've seen many times on DVD and wanted to see how the quality differed between the two formats... BluRay looks pretty fucking good! Classic movie of course.
Then I checked out "Doomsday" from a couple of years ago. Decent. Cool gore. If they had just kept the badass cannibal punks as the antagonists it would have been WAY better though, the parts with them are super fun but the rest of the film is pretty boring. |

"Dallas Buyers Club". Surprised the hell out of me with tremendous acting performances. I like the fact that the movie takes quit a bit of jabs at the FDA. |

Wal-Mart has the Alien Blu_Ray box set for like $30.00. Fucking insane! Alien & Aliens are mandatory!! The picture quality on Alien is amazing! |

Going through all the "classics" that have managed to pass by me over the past 10-15 years. Yesterday did Easy Rider, Halloween, and The Magnificent Seven. Today I've got The Great Escape and The King of Comedy. |

The King of Comedy is great! Easily one of DeNiro's very best performances.

Deer Hunter, Cape Fear, Goodfellas. That is the DeNiro I like best. |
