Watched Predator 2 and almost arrested.... You'd think you'd be safe diring an intermission in the backwoods. Why is my life like a Hank Williams Jr. Song?

Temple of Doom is still my favorite.

Almost finished watching the entire first season of iCarly,
I like it because once you get past the fact it's a very sugary kids show, it's actually about some very dysfunctional people, which is why I also like the Sam & Cat spinoff show as well.

Jurassic Park, I like how this seemingly family friendly movie turns into a trainwreak monster movie, it has some very cool scenes such as Mr Arnolds severed arm and the whole game warden+raptor scenes.

The Dark (1993)- A monster lurks in the tunnels beneath a cemetery. Reminded me of Lurking Fear a lot. But not as good. And Neve Campbell plays a cop a good 3 years before playing terrorized teen Sydney Prescott in the Scream franchise for Wes Craven.

Joe- Nicholas Cage in a surprisingly subdued role in a drama about an excon who tries to save a teen from an abusive drunk father while also dealing with his own rage control issues.

It's great, although sometimes the writing is a bit off.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of the comics also so there are a few things that irk me but overall I am pretty impressed with it. Homelander alone is worth watching for.

Gotta leave the house in thirty minutes to do a couple of hours of work, otherwise I'd open a bottle of wine and start right away. But yeah, the plan is definitely to watch a few episodes tonight.

The Witch Who Came From the Sea - There was a post a few pages back about the strain of weird, dreamy American horror films from the '70s, and this fits right into that mold. Sordid story of a woman who was molested as a child by her father and goes on to veer between fantasy and reality as she murders various men in some truly feverish, drugged out scenes.

House of the Yellow Carpet - Claustrophobic early '80s Italian mystery/home invasion flick involving a husband going to great lengths to figure out whether or not his wife has been fucking her stepfather with the help of some "experimental" psychology methods. Basically a woman getting tormented in her apartment for 90 minutes. Make of that what you will.

La Notte - Covers both my likes and dislikes of the Antonioni stuff I've seen. The opening half in the city with all the looming shots of buildings is great, but once it transitions into bored rich people hanging out, I'm snoozing.

Finally got around to watching the most recent season of Black Mirror. Holy shit, what happened? That show used to be so good... not anymore. These latest 3 episodes are mind bogglingly boring. The series has clearly run its course.
