REBORN RECORDS
Proudly Presents:
ARGENTUM “Ad Interitum Funebrarum”
20 year anniversary re-issue on CD.

Originally released back in 1996, this macabre masterpiece of epic black/doom/death metal is finally unleashed again.
Completely new and macabre layout and artwork, using the best quality materials and totally re-mastered.
Citing influences from the masters like BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, DEEP PURPLE mixing it with extreme-heroes like POSSESSED, BATHORY or CELTIC FROST with a touch of classic doom like CANDLEMASS, second wave black metal like MAYHEM and adding to it Italian progressive touches, this debut album proved to be one of the most revered albums ever to emerge from the Mexican Underground Scene. Their live performances only added more mysticism to the band, with their masterful execution and domain of the instruments that was of high praise among the metal connoisseurs. With some of the most haunting vocal performances, and passionate guitar solos, this band pays homage to their ancestral land culture of revering the dead.
Release date January 2017.
Limited edition pre-sale version including slipcase and sticker USD $12 + postage.

Oh, well every re-issue that does not use the original artwork seems to be bashed nowadays! The original art was OK but the layout was terrible...I mean the logo was less than 1 inch! We are working on a slipcase with the original art and logo so maybe your dark prayers will be answered.
And yes, music wise this is killer and truly underrated!

no not really, that artwork doesn't even convey the atmosphere created by the album.
I originally looked up the album because of the artwork, only to be surprised by a masterpiece.

If I had seen this atrocity, I probably would have skipped it.

But what ever
Sorry about my hateful comments. But this album really deserves the same treatment as classics from that era.

Hopefully the Crypt can pick it up or someone that can truly see this beast of an album for what it really is.

The amount of talent in the guitar playing alone, wipes the floor with most stuff that comes out today.

The guitarist conveys such sadness, and all done with amazing technical skill.
Truly unique

I always thought the cover art of the original was good, but the layout was very poor...
Anyway, while I am not crazy for the art of the new edition, that was the way the band wanted...
BUT the music is what really matters, and this does sound very good, the original had like a "thin" production this sounds more powerful, not just loud per-se. And yes the gutar playing is really "soulful".
There is also a demo compilation CD around, which is a bootleg, and has a very poor layout and it was sourced from a tape rather than the original DATs that the music creator had. Plans are to releease those demos in a proper way.
A vynil version might come up, but it surely needs to be a double vinyl as this is well over 65 mins!

Well, actually if a band doesn't want to use the original classic artwork for a reissue on my label and instead wants new artwork, then I decline to reissue it. I'd rather not even bother than have to reissue something I can't stand behind 100%. So far however, that hasn't happened. Smile

Well, Crypt of Kerberos maybe was the one I remember that the original artwork was not used...and not a bad idea anyway as the original was too simple!
