While I only like the first two albums, I place ACCEPT towards the very top of the metal worship throne. The first album has everything I like about 70's heavy metal. Heavy guitar sound, nice analog recording, some bitch with a chainsaw on the cover, AND one of the best heartbreaker tracks ever written! You have to like this album if you want to call yourself a metalhead.

hell yeah. restless and wild is one of my favorite records.
not too long ago i found it in rasputians, the original flaming guitars cover holland pressing with all members signitures on the front for only 7 dollars. i was pretty surrpised by that one.

That LP sucks compared to the first S/T LP. You need to get the first one to really understand their genius.

Great heavy metal band. I reckon Restless and Wild is wicked! But agreed, earlier shit slays.

I remember when "Metal Heart" came out in like '85. The record store was giving away these 7" plexi-like things ( like bendable records but not on real vinyl where you had to place coins on it to add weight to it while playing on the turntable ). It had two killer songs off the album on it : Midnight Mover + Screaming for a Love Bite. Me and my younger brother grabbed like three of those, but they're still buried in his closet somewhere.

I think "Metal Heart" was the big album for ACCEPT. I never got into their earlier albums much, though I have them. Unlike JUDAS PRIEST where I always love all their early albums up to and including "Turbo". Noone ever talks about early ACCEPT.

havent heard of that one. flexis rule. they used to be really popular for indie bands in japan. sometimes instead of releasing a demotape they just got a flexi pressed.

Have you heard of the ACCEPT "Midnight Mover" Special 4-Track Edition 12" EP ? I found like four of these at a record convention about 12-13 years ago for only $1.00 each in seemingly new condition.

It contains these songs :
Side A
1. Midnight Mover ( 'Metal Heart' LP version )
2. Balls to the Wall ( extended version )
Side B
1. London Leatherboys ( live '84 )
2. Wrong is Right ( 'Metal Heart LP version )

I'll have to check out their early releases. I remember the last day of 5th grade blasting "Balls to the wall" on my friends boom box as we left school. We thought we were so cool.
Knowing bands like Scorpions and Judas Priest put out some great late 70's releases I'm not surprised Accept's earlier material is in that vein. I'm going to have to give it a listen.

Yes, first ACCEPT kills. I like the cheesy songs too which is the guitarist singing.

I think Restless and Wild and Metal Heart are damn overrated. A few good songs, but that was it.

We always wanted to do a cover of "China Lady" with NOCTURNAL, but somehow we didnīt manage it yet. That song has a killer riff.

Hell yeah this is something for Germans to be proud of. You guys should cover of Glad to be Alone. That song would be perfect as a doom metal song. The lyrics are so damn misanthropic and metal.
