See, after the first three songs (which are actually really good death metal!), suddenly this cheery, sunny bubblegum techno beat pops up outta nowhere, and... And... Wait. Hmmm. Let's see here. Oh. Forget what I just said. Spotify commercial break. Almost had a heartattack there for a second.
HAIL OFERMOD, GODZ OF TRUE DRACONIAN MADNESS!!!!!!!1!!!!111!!!!1! |
I have had this "WHAT THE FUCK?" moment quite a few times. |

Samples make this sound like a totally ignorable album. _________________

I'll wait until I hear the whole thing before I judge. |

Got the CD today. I'm a huge Ofermod fanboy, i admit it. Anyway, i disliked Tiamtu but Thaumiel...I fucking like it! Same shit but better songs and album structure. Even the Chained To Redemption worked pretty good. Theres basic Ofermod riffs, theres Morbid Angel song, theres re-recorded song and such. Definately a step up from Tiamtu. Put your preconceptions down and give this album a change.

Do you have a possibility to upload a track for those of us who are so curious they can`t wait until the album arrives? |

| Listening now ... the first couple of songs sound good. But JEEEZ that bass drum sound is awful when it starts rolling + the songstyle could do with a production that was fuller or more grandiose I guess! |

| Just listened to it for the first time. I thought the production was pretty grandiose to be honest, but anyway. A lot of new elements and feelings have been added, I will need a few more listens till I make an idea, but overall the first one was positive. I do miss Nord's vocals, though... |

I thought the album had many good moments, it had a few interesting new features which made each track interesting in its own right, but it wasn't consistent enough. It didn't feel like there was much 'traditional Ofermod' in the overall whole to tie it all together besides 2-3 tracks, but is still worth a listen. The re-recording of Chained to Redemption was good, however. _________________ + EXITIVM PRODVCTIONS +

Not bad, but it might take some time to digest. I had high hopes for it, but it turned out to be pretty much "average".
On a related not, the guy's a fucking nutter. |

For shit like this, I have a really hard time taking anything the guy says/does seriously. But a crazy person or not, he has recorded some average to slightly above average metal over the years. |
