I've been meaning to post this and the other thread reminded me. Were the lower levels throughout side-B intentional in the first pressing? I just checked the 2008 remastered waveforms and they are fairly even all the way through, in comparison.

Seems so. First tracks are so evenly compressed that most likely last ones havent compressed at all, most likely they somehow skipped whole mastering process on those tracks.
