Man oh man the WATAIN hate.......poor VON, that guy Erik took their song name and turned it into a Black Metal franchise!
WATAIN have taken the step being the crossover appeal band that EMPEROR took in the nineties, they just did it now.......and the "DIEHARD TRUE" fan-atics aren't happy at all.........TOO BAD!
What can you say? I'll call sellout if they tour with DIMMU BORGIR.........but as it goes, they are just another band doing their thing, and they have for a while, and have got somewhere doing it.

I disagree there. Should Maiden/Motorhead be considered sellouts because they toured with gay bands in the past? I call it a sell out when bands stop playing what they like in order to please the masses. For all I'm concerned they may be touring with Ministry if they feel it's what suits them best. As long as they keep delivering the splendid music they have for the past decade I really don't care whom they're sharing bus/plane/stage with.

I want the box set...actually, I just need the first 2 on vinyl and I am good.
WATAIN have made all of the right decisions and have remained as true as ever. And to my ears, have become a better band with each record.
They have not sold out anything....but vinyl.
If they tour with DIMMU and still sound and look like WATAIN, they still aren't sellouts. If the new record SOUNDS like DIMMU...different story.
