| MCD & SotBA for me too. Apart from that WAR was great, and I also found INFERNAL quite enjoyable. especially the MCD" summon forth the beast ". not for the covers althou theyre quite ok, but for the first 2 tracks. whoever liked the MCD should check these 2 tracks out. |

They are inferior to Marduk. Lord Ahriman is very tall. _________________ Music, Movies, and Video Game Reviews at my website.

........ Oh but shit, now I remember, this brings me back!
This one time on Swedish radio (P3) they were live-streaming full concerts from the Hultsfred festival, must have been '97-'98 or so, and I popped in a tape and recorded a Dark Funeral gig on the A-side, and a fucking Gravediggaz gig on the B-side!
Yes, that Gravediggaz -- the Wu-Tang Clan side-project.
That tape was fucking killer!
Next time I'm at my parents' place, I'll go digging for it... But mostly for the B-side, to be honest! |
I was listening to Niggamortis on the way home from work last night, great album. Pretty much all those old Wu Tang side projects were killer. _________________ "14 words: we must secure the depravation of the children and ruin the whole fucking world..." |

| I liked the Secrets of the Black Arts until I saw a documentary on Swedish TV about Blackmoon and his insane bitch. After that I felt like I would be infected by their stupidity if I continued to subject myself to it. Today that seems even more true. |

I enjoyed SotBA and Vobiscum Sathanas as a teenager. I don't know how well they would hold up now tbqh _________________ http://www.last.fm/user/ngadke |

| Their music has always seemed to be written by imbeciles to me. The few interviews i have seen since did little to dissuade me of that. I cant think of a reason why they're as famous as they are, other than simply riding the wake of Scandinavian BM taking off at the time. |

I haven't heard them in a long, long time, but I remember always thinking they sounded flat and boring just like everything else coming out of Abyss studios at the time.
I always preferred Masse Broberg in Hypocrisy anyways. |

| The mlp is a masterpiece of swedish black/death metal the old way and one of the best records released in '94. Secrets is slightly less convincing, mainly because of the standard Abyss/Tagtgren production which makes it sound dry at times. Everything else is worthless. |

I think VS is their best album... I dont like any of the others. |
Refreshed the memories of adolescence, this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=MKhluO-45U4#t=594s - is the moment from "Thy Legions Come" which even these days makes me wish to jab a rusty screwdriver into navel of a random passerby...
EDIT: Also refreshed lyrics, and, damn, they were fucking awesome in their simplicity & straight-forwardness. Felt really nostalgic for the days when not the every second band was trying to produce quasi-intellectual treatises by another pissed-over unter-esoteric... |

Fuck Vobiscum, this is their best recording. |
