| The Open The Gates Ep was the best thing they have done, the debut was good too. Everything that came after is worthless. |

| Only two of their songs have ever done anything for me. Slava Satan from VS and Heart of Ice from DI. The rest just registers as an unrecognizable blur. |

Yep... and killer, even We Are War! But if we're talking about generic Swedish blastbeat black metal, The Abyss (Summon the Beast) and Algaion (Vox Clamentis MCD) shit all over Dark Funeral.
Secrets... has a couple cool songs but that's it. Parland shot his wad already with Necrophobic's Darkside. And don't even get me started on that Graven Tåkeheimens Saler theft on Vobiscum Satanas... _________________ ok but who are you damn i have lot of orders

Just had that discussion about WAR yesterday: The EP is actually pretty good, but the full-length was very mediocre. Not to speak about the insane hype around this project...
The category "extremely boring Swedish Black Metal" would also include: LORD BELIAL, SACRAMENTUM, UNPURE and especially SCHEITAN. |

Disagree on Sacramentum. Always liked them. |

Cannot even remember how many years ago I've heard them last time, but never understood massive jerking around on "Secrets..." those days when I did. First MCD was fine, plus I strangely appreciated sound on "Vobiscum..." plus there was one slaying moment there, maybe even have to re-listen to remember in which song... _________________ Kiss My Coffin!

"Step Aside ... for the superior race" I believe. Haha. Not that it matters. Great band!

Lord Belial yes, Sacramentum no. The only less than stellar album they have is Thy Black Destiny. |

Refreshed the memories of adolescence, this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=MKhluO-45U4#t=594s - is the moment from "Thy Legions Come" which even these days makes me wish to jab a rusty screwdriver into navel of a random passerby...
EDIT: Also refreshed lyrics, and, damn, they were fucking awesome in their simplicity & straight-forwardness. Felt really nostalgic for the days when not the every second band was trying to produce quasi-intellectual treatises by another pissed-over unter-esoteric... _________________ Kiss My Coffin!
