It's their best effort since De Mysteriis. Of course it doesn't top anything from the past. But on it's own way, it's a damn twisted album. And I love Atilla's vocals there.

| I think it sounds pretty dark and has a decent atmosphere but for the most part it sounds like shapeless crap that I cannot get into. Also, the way the songs seem like they tease you (start...no not yet! staaaaart...no not yet! X1000) in this really cheesy way. Not to mention that with every Mayhem album that comes out, the band gives an even darker and more "serious" interview....so fucking fake seemingly that I just can't take it seriously. I do give them points for getting rid of Maniac though...I just can't stand that guy. Every time I've seen a video of them playing with him it took me a month to be able to listen to the band again without laughing. |

Agreed. Even though "Wolf´s Lair Abyss" is nice as well.

Didn't this cd come out sometime ago already ? I almost laughed when I seen a posting for it today. I am sure everyone heard this album at least by the 2nd day it was released. |
